Jeff Harris

Principal Service Designer

Jeff’s philosophy on design is that it is fundamentally about making decisions.

Confident decisions based on contextual understanding that balances customer desires and needs with business priority and value. From complex enterprise-wide service offerings to the simplest of control widgets, each are the result of thousands of small, well-informed, collaborative decisions. Jeff obsesses over identifying and codifying the various facets that enable these choices — customer experience, business strategy, employee goals, and cultural benefit.

For over twenty years, Jeff has partnered with and advised clients, providing human-centered research, consulting, and design services. His expertise range from user experience modeling, branding, communications, business process definition, and interface, product, and service design. Jeff has worked on new business and new product development programs with numerous Fortune 500 companies in consumer, service, and retail markets. He has also served both large and small non-profit philanthropic organizations such as the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and the Clean Air Campaign.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and received a Masters of Design in Human-centered Product Design from the Institute of Design, IIT, Chicago.
